Subject to specific thresholds NYPA can act as an extension of the team with expert advice; providing economic feasibility assessments to determine the best approach to meet goals; serving as a trusted partner with objective and fully transparent advice; streamlining procurement that aligns with state and local requirements; and sharing knowledge of state energy policies, grants, and incentives.


NYPA’s longstanding relationship with SENY customers led to the implementation of several clean energy projects to help deliver on the State’s clean energy goals.

Case Study

From protecting natural resources to reducing energy costs, Westchester County is committed to a healthier future for its residents. Partnering with NYPA, the county identified and implemented an impactful range of energy efficiency solutions.

NYPA’s comprehensive approach delivered a suite of energy efficiency solutions, including an asset management plan, LED lighting, EV infrastructure, steam distribution and HVAC upgrades, and more.


NYPA's team drove enhanced resiliency at Yonkers Joint Wastewater Treatment Plant, upgrading cogeneration systems - including new turbo blowers, aeration system, and controls and electrical improvements.


The result: 12,000 metric tons of GHG avoided.  EQU 2,500 cars and over $3.4M Annual cost savings + Enhanced resiliency.
